Waiting for censure of trustee

I've been anxiously reading the pages of the Acorn hoping to see an article about a censure hearing for Ms. Didio.

In the wake of her performance at the Reagan Library event in May, the Acorn's subsequent editorial calling on her to not stand for reelection and . . . her focus on excoriating Mike Dunn, one wonders why Ms. Didio continues in her position with nary a rebuke?

What magic spell could Ms. Didio have cast upon her fellow board members to avoid any repercussions of her actions? Is she in tight with Harry Potter and privy to his secrets? Or could her power emanate from somewhere with even more power? Hmmm.

This board censured Mike Dunn for the egregious crime of trying to represent his constituency. Finding out what parents want and attempting to balance those desires with a bloated and rigid bureaucracy is a difficult task, but Mike is the only one who cares to ask. Have a problem and seek a resolution? Mike's the guy, not only because he cares but because the rest of board is missing in action. In the distorted view of this board that must surely be a good reason to censure Mike.

George Bernard Shaw once said, "Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve."

This is the source of the often stated maxim that we get the government we deserve. I ask you, is this what we deserve?

I think not.

I firmly believe that the actions of this board, sans Mr. Dunn, were without merit and analogous to a proverbial witch hunt.

I'll continue to scan the pages of the Acorn looking for formal notification of Ms. Didio's censure hearing. Paul Kessler Thousand Oaks
