Rotary to host Midsummer Eve of Wine and Arts

The Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks will host the sixth annual "Midsummer Eve of Wine and Arts" from 3 to 7 p.m. Sun., Aug. 19 at Sherwood Country Club, 320 W. Stafford Road, Thousand Oaks. The wine tasting is open to adults age 21 and over.

Limited production wines from California, Chile, Mexico, Spain and Argentina will be offered. Entertainment will be provided by strolling musicians. Food will be available, and there will also be a live auction conducted by Elizabeth and Jeff Ames.

Frank Stallone will serve as master of ceremonies, and guests will be Olympic medal winners Rafer Johnson, Mitch Gaylord, Peter Caruthers and Terry Schroeder.

Tickets purchased before Fri., Aug. 10 are $80 per person. The cost is $95 after that date. Proceeds benefit Ventura County Special Olympics.
