Less traffic than Kmart? No way

For those of us who attended the environmental impact report meeting for the Home Depot project on Monday night, July 16, we found ourselves awash in a weird, Kafkaesque senario where "Figures don't lie, but liars figure." Home Depot actually paid for a report to show that the potential traffic for their store would be less than when the Kmart was there. Right.

This was only one of many surreal items revealed to us at the meeting.

It's painfully obvious that the only reason the City Council would approve this box store is to have their pockets lined and their coffers coddled.

This is scary stuff and not to be taken lightly--what a wonderful opportunity to flex our muscles as residents of a beautiful town we all chose to make our home.

Citizens, if you expect "somebody else" to save your quality of life here in Westlake Village, it ain't gonna happen. Check out www.NoToHomeDepot.com before it's too late.

City Council: we're watching you.
