Home Depot traffic will be excessive

I'm writing to let you know I'm very happy about the new environmental impact report (EIR) required for the Home Depot project on Hampshire Road.

I travel that way three times a week, making a left turn to Willow Road.

Even without the (huge increase in) new traffic that a Home Depot would bring, it's very difficult to negotiate a simple left turn safely because of the freeway traffic offramp, as well as traffic driving south on Hampshire.

Given the added burden of large delivery trucks and increased shopping traffic, that turn would be virtually impossible. It would gridlock that entire area.

I believe any qualified environmental engineer would immediately come to the same conclusion after observing that intersection and the offramp in short order. I shop at the Home Depot. I have shopped at six different Home Depots in the four homes I have owned in Southern California, and in each case they were located in a big box area with ample access.

I don't understand why we must have gridlock to (accommodate a Home Depot).
