Auction items needed for a worthy cause

The Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks and Do-it Center are hosting the inaugural "Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament" on Sun., Nov. 11 at Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks. It will become an annual event to raise money in support of Kiwanis programs that benefit children and the needy.

Donations of items valued at $50 and more are needed for the auction. Of particular interest are vacation packages, golf packages, restaurant certificates, tickets to sporting and amusement events, theater and concert tickets, memorabilia, jewelry and accessories.
