Wildfire protection plan will be discussed at T.O. City Hall

The Ventura County Fire Department will conduct a community meeting to discuss the Ventura County Wildfire Action Plan at 6:30 p.m. Mon., July 30 at the Thousand Oaks City Hall, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Everyone is encouraged to attend to become an active participant in creating a firesafe community.

The action plan was distributed to residents on Fri., July 13 and is available on the fire department's website, www.fire.countyofventura.org.

The campaign encouraged citizens to make their plans now to either evacuate early or take an active role in defending their homes when threatened by wildfires.

At the meeting, fire officials will provide information on the plan and answer questions.
