Kids can catch catfish

Conejo Recreation and Park District, in conjunction with the Thousand Oaks Kiwanis Club, will present the Kids Fishing Frenzy from 10 a.m. to noon Sat., Aug. 4 at Conejo Creek Park North, 1379 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

Hundreds of magnetic fish will be released into the creek for children to catch with a magnetic pole.

Fill a pail full of fish and turn it in for a prize.

Children will also have a chance to participate in fish crafts and games and explore Captain Carl's Mobile Tide Pool.

This event is suitable for children of all ages.

Admission is $4 per child. Refreshments will be sold for nominal fees.
