County air monitoring plan available for review

The Ventura County Air Pollution Control District has released its 2007 draft Ambient Air Monitoring Plan for public review and comment until Fri., July 27.

Federal regulations require that all air districts prepare an annual plan that describes the network of ambient air quality monitors and identifies any need for additions, relocations or terminations of monitoring sites or instrumentations.

The plan describes its network of six air quality monitoring stations and also includes a review of actions taken during 2006 and plans for future action.

The plan is available online at www.vcapcd.org.
