Newbury Park

A male, 18, was arrested on a charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance at 12:20 a.m. July 9 in the 2800 block of Camino Dos Rios.

At least two vehicle windows were smashed and property was stolen between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. July 8 at Rancho Sierra Vista near Lynn Road and Via Goleta.

A male, 20, allegedly broke into a vehicle in the 200 block of Deerwalk Place and then used an automatic garage door opener to gain further access. The incident occurred between 12:57 and 1:01 a.m. July 9. The suspect was arrested in the 2300 block of Borchard Road at 1:57 a.m.

Gravel was thrown into a swimming pool and signs were stolen from a fence at Newbury Park High School between July 6 and 9.

Eggs and a rock were thrown at a car the night of July 8 in the 3400 block of Bearcreek Drive.

In the 200 block of Deerwalk Place, a theft occurred the night of June 22. It was only recently reported.

No details were provided about an act of vandalism that caused more than $400 in damage in the 200 block of Cathy Drive between July 6 and 9.

The loss was $1,600 after property was stolen at Manzanita Elementary School the afternoon of July 9.

A male, 19, was caught trying to steal merchandise at Target on July 9. A male, 21, was also caught shoplifting the same day at 4:36 p.m.

Misdemeanor vandalism occurred the morning of July 10 in the 100 block of N. Reino Road.

A door window and window of Carl's Jr. were vandalized on July 9 or 10.

Someone deliberately and intentionally vandalized the property of a male, 47, between 9:30 p.m. July 9 and 7 a.m. July 10 in the 3400 block of Michael Drive.

A male, 21, allegedly took a vehicle that didn't belong to him and then gave a false name to the investigating officer at 1:50 p.m. July 8 at Newbury and Kelly roads.

An explosive device was placed in the front yard of a Maynard Avenue home the evening of July 5.

Two businesses in the 3500 block of Old Conejo Road were broken into and burglarized between 6:05 and 6:30 a.m. July 7.

Property was stolen from a business between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. July 7 in the 2400 block of Turquoise Lane.

For possession of an explosive device and igniting it (causing injury), two subjects were arrested at 11:30 p.m. July 5 in Newbury Park. One of the suspects was a male, 18.

A male, 36, was arrested at 1:35 p.m. July 5 in the 1600 block of Calle Diamonte in conjunction with a domestic dispute that had occurred in the first block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

The following were arrested at the times, dates and places indicated on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/ or drugs: a male, 32, at 1:49 a.m. July 8 at Thousand Oaks Boulevard, west of Moorpark Road; a male, 67, at 6 p.m. July 9 at Hillcrest and Houston drives; a male, 50, at 1:55 a.m. July 10 at Moorpark Road and Camino Dos Palos; a male, 30, at 10:05 p.m. July 6 at Hampshire Road and T.O. Boulevard; and a male, 38, at 6:27 p.m. July 3 in the 500 block of Rio Grande (and for child endangerment for having his 9-year-old son in the vehicle.)

The following were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance at the times, dates and places indicated: a male, 40, at 6:58 p.m. July 7 in the 200 block of N. Conejo School Road; a male, 39, at 8:20 a.m. July 5 in the 100 block of N. Skyline Drive; two females, 37 and 29, at 10:18 p.m. July 5 in the 1900 block of Los Feliz Drive; and a female, 44, at 9:10 p.m. July 6 in the 1800 block of Los Feliz Drive.

Graffiti vandalism occurred in the 1900 block of Burleson Avenue the night of July 7.

Near the Conejo playfields in the 1300 block of E. Janss Road, a car window was smashed between 1:45 and 2 p.m. July 8 and property was stolen.

At the Park Terrace Apartments, someone spray painted graffiti on July 7 or 8.

Valuables were stolen from a truck on July 4 or 5 in the 400 block of Galsworthy Street.

Two vehicles were damaged by a large wooden stick, causing damages of around $2,500 in the 400 block of E. Hillcrest Drive between 1:45 and 2 a.m. July 9.

Ascension Lutheran Church was vandalized between July 6 and 9.

Graffiti vandalism occurred in the 1000 block of Old Farm Road between June 29 and July 9.

Some sort of vandalism was reported on July 9 in the 300 block of Galsworthy Street.

Unknown parties made two illegal ATM withdrawals from a victim's checking account in the 3500 block of Mountclef Boulevard between May 29 and July 9. The loss was more than $400.

Someone trespassed a dwelling in the 1600 block of Rancho Conejo Boulevard on July 9.

A petty theft occurred in the 2300 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard on June 25.

A vehicle and home in the 2600 block of Avenida de Las Plantas were vandalized with orange paint balls the evening of July 9.

A vehicle was vandalized in the 200 block of Greenheath Place on July 9 or 10.

Something was stolen from a dwelling in the 500 block of Laurie Lane on June 29 or 30.

Sunset Hills Country Club was the target of vandalism between 5 and 5:30 p.m. July 10.

A potted plant was stolen from a front yard in the 100 block of Lear Circle between June 30 and July 7.

Two tires were punctured in the 1200 block of Hendrix Avenue on July 10 or 11.

A wallet was stolen from the counter of an ATM machine around 11:06 July 11 in the first block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

A rear door was pried open during an attempt to burglarize a business on July 10 or 11 in the 2300 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

Something was stolen between 6 and 7:30 p.m. July 11 in the 100 block of N. Moorpark Road.

In the 400 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles at 11:26 a.m. July 8, a male, 38, was arrested on suspicion of a hit-and-run regarding an accident that occurred earlier at W. Olsen Road and Mountclef Boulevard.

At Sirius Street and Atlas Court at 1:10 p.m. July 8, a male, 18, was cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

At 8:19 p.m. July 9 in the 1600 block of Rancho Conejo Boulevard, a male, 38, allegedly resisted arrest when he was being taken into custody for trespassing.

A female, 46, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication at 10:29 p.m. July 9 in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 29, had a warrant for his arrest when he caused a disturbance at a bar at 12:30 a.m. July 11 in the 1200 block of Newbury Road.

When a store worker tried to stop suspects from stealing beer at a convenience store in the 1700 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard at 2 a.m. June 28, the victim was battered.

A purse and keys were stolen from a vehicle on July 2 in the 2100 block of N. Lynn Road.

Car windows were shattered at 4:19 a.m. July 3 in the 600 block of Glenoaks Avenue.

Tires were vandalized the night of July 2 in the 1200 block of Avenida de Los Arboles.

Outgoing mail was stolen in the 100 block of E. Janss Road between 9 and 9:30 a.m. July 3.

Locked vehicles were broken into and burglarized the night of July 5 in the 1700 block of Calle Artigas.

In the 1200 block of Dover Avenue on the afternoon of July 2, a vehicle was broken into and burglarized.

Something uninhabited was set on fire at Cal Lutheran University on July 5 or 6.

A briefcase was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Triunfo Canyon Road between 5:30 and 10 p.m. July 6.

Graffiti vandal(s) struck in the 300 block of Erbes Road on July 6 or 7.

Property was intentionally vandalized on July 6 or 7 in the 800 block of Calle Margarita.

Someone was battered in the 300 block of E. Hillcrest Drive the evening of July 7.

Somebody battered and vandalized the victim's vehicle at 1:20 a.m. July 8 in the 2000 block of Los Feliz Drive. The victim was a male, 18.

At 11:28 p.m. July 5 near Calle Jazmin and Avenida de Las Flores, a male, 18, was cited and released for possession of alcohol and marijuana.

Cited and released for hitandrun was a male, 35, at 11:35 p.m. July 6 near Calle Manzano and Calle Gomero.

Cited and released for possession of marijuana in a vehicle at 1 p.m. July 7 at Hendrix Avenue and Janss Road was a male, 19.

At 12:42 a.m. July 2 at Hillcrest Drive and Conejo Boulevard, a female, 24, was cited and released for possession of marijuana

Someone brandished a replica gun the evening of June 30 at Ventu Park Road and Hillcrest Drive.

On charges of drinking an alcoholic beverage in public, the following were arrested at the places, times and dates indicated: a male, 34, in the 100 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard at 5:10 p.m. July 7; and a male, 41, in the first block of E. Hillcrest Drive at 5:25 p.m. July 7.

Westlake/T.O.

A male, 42, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving at 1:40 a.m. July 7 on Triunfo Canyon Road, west of Hampshire Road.

A dispute occurred between two business partners at North Ranch Country Club the afternoon of July 6. One of them, a male, 29, had a warrant for his arrest, and he was taken into custody.

A home in the 2500 block of Northshore Lane was burglarized, and a vehicle was unlawfully taken between 11:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. July 6.
