Tin Drum performs free concert

The Conejo Recreation and Park District will present a free concert in the park at 5 p.m. Sun., July 15 at Conejo Community Park, 1175 Hendrix Ave., Thousand Oaks.

The concert features Tin Drum, an ensemble of musicians described as "bringing an invigorating freshness to contemporary music by exploring themes that fall outside of well-known trends."

The band's nucleus is the husband/wife team of Burleigh Drummond, the founding drummer of Ambrosia, and Mary HarrisDrummond, who has performed with such acts as Pink Floyd and Jimmy Buffett.

Those attending may bring a picnic dinner but should leave pets at home. Parking is limited to surface streets around the park.
