Kids' art show to help charity for children

Children ages 13 or under are invited to participate in a kids' art show to benefit Casa Pacifica in Camarillo. The art show will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sat., Aug. 4 at Coffee 'N Dreams at the Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks.

Pieces will be sold at the art show. All money earned will go to Casa Pacifica.

Prizes in the form of gift certificates will be given for the bestlooking art in two categories: artists age 7 and under, and artists ages 8 to 13.

Artwork needs to be in a presentable format such as in a frame, on a poster board, on a canvas or on an easel. When the art is finished, artists should e-mail kmsted@hotmail.com by July 30 to have the artwork picked up.

A $3 entry fee is required; this fee will go directly to Casa Pacifica.

Display space is limited, so entry is first come, first served.

Casa Pacifica helps children 18 and under who have lost their parents or whose parents are not able to take care of them by providing shelter, food, school, doctors, toys and more.
