Enrollment for CATS Wizardry and Literacy Camp being accepted Enrollment is open for the CATS Wizardry and Literacy Camp offered in various cities this summer. Campers will take a journey though reading, writing and acting as they study the novel "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" by J.K. Rowling. Camp students will attend classes led by "professors." Activities include reading parts of the book, personal journaling, creating skits from book events, meeting guest authors, making wands and wizard hats and cooking "magical" refreshments. The emphasis will be on the importance of reading and writing and making it fun. The administrative staff includes Roxanne Diesel, camp executive director; Sarah Johnson, camp director; and Kelly Salisbury, associate camp director. The camp counselors are experienced in various fields and are CPR certified. Camps are half-day sessions from 1 to 4 p.m. except for the Thousand Oaks location. Halfday camps are $85. The camps will be held in the following sites: +The Cameron Center, Thousand Oaks. Full-day camp, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 30 to Aug. 3, $160 registration fee. +Rancho Simi Community Amphitheater, Simi Valley, July 9 to 13. +Oak Canyon Community Park, Oak Park, July 16 to 20. +Juan Bautista de Anza Park, Calabasas, July 30 to Aug. 3. +White Oak Elementary School, Westlake Village, Aug. 6 to 10. +Valle Lindo Park, Camarillo, Aug. 13 to 17.
