'Outdoors' booklet offered by National Park Service

The summer edition of "Outdoors in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area" is available for free from the National Park Service Visitor Center at 401 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, or by calling (805) 370-2301.

The center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

"Outdoors" is also available online at www.nps.gov/samo.

The brochure highlights programs available, such as "From Set to Screen" at Paramount Ranch, as well as walks, hikes and talks.
