Group deals with pregnancy issues

"Baby on the Way" is a weekly support group for pregnant women that meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays 660 Hampshire Road, Ste. 116, Westlake Village.

The group helps women deal with anxiety about becoming a mother, the transition from being a couple to becoming a family and how marriage and relationships changes, examining a woman's role in the marriage as a mother and her partner's role, helping women decide to stay at home or go back to work, and looking at support systems from family to community.

Reservations are required as space is limited. A small fee will be charged.

The group facilitator is April De Higes, MFT, a counselor with 14 years of experience in group therapy, as well as individual and family counseling.
