Thousand Oaks again named a 'family friendly' employer

The city of Thousand Oaks has been named a "Ventura County Family Friendly Employer" for the fifth consecutive year.

The advisory board for the Business Work-Life Alliance of Ventura County awarded 21 county employers the designation. The recipients, which include Amgen, Cal State Channel Islands and the cities of Oxnard and Ventura, were honored at a ceremony earlier this month.

The award is given to employers that allow employees flexibility in meeting the demands of work and family.
