Red, White and Blue Ball honors patrio

The 2007 Red, White and Blue Ball will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sat., June 16 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley.

The ball is sponsored by the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the Military Order of the World Wars and focuses this year on the U.S. Navy as the honored service.

Lt. Don Allen of Thousand Oaks will be honored as the Patriotic Citizen of the Year and will receive the Patrick Henry Medallion.

The event is a combined military-civilian social with a band, dancing and a silent auction.

Tickets are $125 each, and the public is invited. Net proceeds help to fund the annual Thousand Oaks Youth Leadership Conference and the Conejo Valley Veterans Day Ceremony.
