Local libraries promote summer reading program

The summer reading program for children and teenagers will run from June 25 to Aug. 5 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park branch libraries.

The theme for children is "Get A Clue @ Your Library," and for teens, "You Never Knew @ Your Library."

To participate, sign up at either library between June 25 and Aug. 5. Participants will receive a reading log and a book bag. Each week, incentives and small prizes will be awarded. Story times and special programs for children and teenagers will be presented at both libraries throughout the summer.
