Gives thumbs down to Home Depot

Do we really need another Home Depot in Thousand Oaks to fill the vacant Kmart building on Hampshire Road?

Don't we already have a Home Depot in Thousand Oaks just a few miles away?

When Home Depot moved to its current location they were going to turn their old location-- near the corner of Ventu and Hillcrest, for those of you who can't remember that far back--into an Expo Design Center.

What happened to that Home Depot plan? I would prefer to use both Kmart's and Home Depot's old locations for the teenagers in our community. We could put in an ice skating rink, a bowling alley, an arcade center or whatever the community thinks would be best for our kids.

Let's focus on long-term planning for our city to make it stronger and not just look for easy revenue for the city coffers.
