Local students earn awards from T.O. Rotary

Twenty-five local students received Youth Citizenship awards from the Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks.

The awards were based on submissions by school principals, counselors and teachers noting the students' school and community service and personal characteristics.

The recipients include Natalie Ewing, Acacia Elementary; Espen Slattum, Aspen; Kelly Chow, Banyan; Rachael Klavir, Colina Middle School; Arantxa Sanchez Cruz, Conejo; Katherine Munning, Cypress; Emily Brooks, Glenwood; Natalie Dueber, Ladera; Hanna Bluth, Lang Ranch; Hannah Barrett, Los Cerritos Middle School.

Also receiving awards are Kate Harding, Madrona; Brian Ortega, Manzanita; Perla Castro, Maple; Rachel Roberts, Meadows; Clara Garcia, Park Oaks; Rebecca Sylvers, Redwood Middle School; Emily Dellentash, Sequoia Middle School; Emily Sweetman, Sycamore Canyon; Sarah Stevens, Sycamore Canyon Middle School; Jessica Lupanow, University; Vicent Carbone, Walnut; Makenna Kinnon, Weathersfield; Alice Neary, Westlake; Alisa Hunter, Westlake Hills; and Kalpa Viswanadhan,Wildwood.
