Newbury Park

A female, 49, allegedly used a steak knife to delay public safety officers from doing their jobs in the 700 block of American Oaks Avenue at 4:30 a.m. April 27. She was reported to have resisted being placed in handcuffs and kicked a deputy.

A female, 20, was arrested for suspected corporal injury to a spouse at 12 p.m. May 17 in the 400 block of Knollwood Drive.

A May 18 traffic stop for an possible seatbelt violation led to the arrest of a male, 35, who was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine on Newbury Road near the Newbury Connector at 9 p.m. A male passenger, 37, was arrested for alleged possession of an expandable baton.

Uniformed bicycle patrol officers stopped a male driver and cited him for allegedly driving without a license. The man, 32, was first seen rummaging through bins outside the Salvation Army Thrift Store when the store was closed. The officers talked to him, found out that he did not have a driver's license and warned him not to drive as he stood beside a car. The officers report he told them the car was not his and he would not drive. The officers left the area, but watched the man for about five minutes. When he got into the driver's seat and drove off, they followed him on their bicycles and stopped him.
