Local talent wanted for Oktoberfest

Local talent will get the oppor

unity to perform on stage at the 21st annual Oktoberfest, Sat. and Sun., Sept. 29 and 30 at Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark. The annual event is presented by the Rotary Club of Newbury Park and Farmers Insurance Group.

The "Showcase Stage" will be available to local dance troupes, singing groups, musicians and other performers. Each act will have the stage for 45 minutes.

Between 12 and 15 family oriented acts will be selected to perform throughout the weekend. Times will be assigned. The stage

s available to performers throughout the Conejo Valley, Moorpark, Simi Valley and west through Ventura. School bands, choirs and private music and dance companies are encouraged to apply.

Organizers are expecting more than 10,000 people to attend this year's Oktoberfest. Proceeds go to help Rotarian nonprofit projects.
