New West Symphony offers variety of events

The New West Symphony Leagues will present several "The Pleasure of Your Company" events in June. For information and tickets for any event, call Monica Koszela at (805) 495-4726.

+"Gemstones and Jewelry" will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Fri., June 1 at a private home in Agoura. Guests may learn the history, cultural importance and creation of various gemstones. A jewelry designer will share her knowledge. The cost is $75, which includes a luncheon.

+Historian and author Jacqueline Berger will discuss "Romance in the Oval Office" from 3 to 6 p.m. Sat., June 2 at The Church of the Epiphany, 5450 Churchwood Drive, Oak Park. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served prior to the presentation. Admission is $75.

+"An Afternoon in Venezia" will begin at 5 p.m. Sun., June 10 in Charles and Rosemary Lieata's private Founders Lounge at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. The event will include wine, Italian delicacies from Literati Cafe, live music by Discovery Artist Joshua Hong and special guest, the Honorable Diego Brasioli, Italian Consul General in Los Angeles. The cost is $100.
