Conejo Valley National Charity League presents 2007 debutantes

The Conejo Valley Chapter of the National Charity League (NCL) introduced its 2007 debutantes at its annuatea, held on Sun., May 20 at Sherwood Country Club.
The tea also recognized the senior Ticktockers, who contributed more than 9,600 collective hours during their six-yeamembership in NCL and presented incoming Ticktockers. National Charity League Inc. is a nonprofit, mother-daughter organization supporting local community agencies and charities. The Conejo Valley Chapter assists more than 20 philanthropic groups in this area. It raises funds through its annual Day of Giving fundraiser and its Thousand Oaks thrifshop, Fibber McGee's Closet, situated at the corner of Moorpark Road and Avenida de Los Arboles.
The money raised is distributed among the philanthropies and is also awarded as college scholarships to worthy young women at local high schools. Working together, mothers and daughters experience the rewards of volunteering their time and energy to help others. Girls typically enter the program as seventhgraders and continue through their 12thgrade year, when they may choose to become a debutante.

In celebration of their six years of service, the 18 debutantes of 2007 will be presented at the Conejo Valley Chapter's National Charity League Ball in November at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, Los Angeles.
