Senior Center plans activities

The following programs and trips are offered through the Goebel Senior Adult Center, 1385 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. For more information or reservations, call (805) 381-2744.

+Part three of a presentation by John Bravos on comparative religions will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tues., May 15.

+An orientation and guided tour for newcomers will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wed., May 16. Reservations are required.

+Doors will open at 2 p.m. for a Sunday afternoon Tea Dance June 10, with music by the Unforgettables. Refreshments will be served. Admission is $7 per person.

+The game of horseshoes is played every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

+Seniors ages 50 and up play softball from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays at the Thousand Oaks Community Center, 2525 N. Moorpark Road.

Registration for the following trips will begin at 9 a.m. tomorrow, Fri., May 11.

+Hollywood Bowl, 5:30 p.m. to midnight, Tues., July 3- Los Angeles Philharmonic concert featuring "Riders in the Sky." $70 per person includes motor coach, reserved concert seats and driver's tip.

+Dead Sea Scrolls and lunch, 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mon., July 16- San Diego History Museum and audio tour of Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit plus catered luncheon. $81 per person includes motor coach, exhibit, lunch and driver's tip.

Getty Villa, 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wed., July 25. $35 per person includes motor coach, Getty admission and driver's tip.
