Lady Elks donate

The Thousand Oaks Elks Ladies of Lodge No. 2477 voted May 1 to donate $2,000 to the Elks Major Project, "Aid to Disabled Children."

The money, earned from the group's Mardi Gras party, will be presented at the CaliforniaHawaii Elks Convention Sat., May 19 in Fresno.

On May 2, Richard Goldner, Grand Lodge public relations chair area 6, announced that the Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge No. 2477 won first place for its public relations brochure, division 3, "One Best Event," the flag retirement ceremony.
