Youth track meet at Acorn Acres

The Conejo Recreation and Park District will hold a novice youth track meet for children ages 6 to 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. Sat., May 12 at Acorn Acres, Thousand Oaks Community Park, 2525 N. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

Participants should wear tennis shoes and bring sunscreen.

Events are the 50-yard dash, 563-yard run, relay, standing long jump and softball toss.

Advance registration is $3; the cost is $5 on the day of the meet. Outofdistrict patrons pay an additional 20 percent fee in lieu of tax. Registration is available online at www.crpd.org.
