Newbury Park

An unlocked vehicle was ransacked the evening of April 19 in the 500 block of Sierra Heights Court.

A window was shattered and items were stolen from a vehicle the night of April 18 in the 200 block of Heavenly Valley Road.

Between 3 and 3:35 a.m. April 19, a dwelling in the 1600 block of Calle Diamonte was burglarized. The same incident occurred during the same time in the 600 block of Avenida de La Plata.

In the 1700 block of W. Hillcrest Drive, items were stolen from an apartment between 7:15 and 7:30 a.m. April 18.

A Coke machine was vandalized and emptied of money in the 2100 block of Newbury Road between Feb. 16 and April 16. The total loss was more than $2,400. The same incident occurred with another Coca-Cola vending machine and the loss was nearly identical in the 2200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive during the same time period.

A vehicle was scratched ($1,000 damage) in the 100 block of N. Jerome Avenue the night of April 13.

An unlocked door gave easy access to a home from which items were stolen in the 3100 block of Alice Drive between 1:30 and 8:45 a.m. April 16.

Somone entered an occupied dwelling and removed property and vandalized interior walls between 12:30 and 5:50 a.m. April 13 in the 3900 block of San Marcos Court.

Fearing a male, 28, was too intoxicated to take care of himself, a deputy recently arrested him in a public place in the 600 block of Paseo La Perla.

A burglar pried open the rear door of a business the morning of April 15 and fled when he saw a witness in the 1500 block of Newbury Road.

An unlocked car was burglarized between 3:45 and 4:15 p.m. April 14 in the 2200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

Items were stolen from a car on April 12 or 13 in the 100 block of Heather Ridge Court.

The graffiti damage was $250 after vandalism in the 600 block of Paseo La Perla the night of April 12.

Trash was illegally dumped on April 10 or 11 in the 700 block of N. Wendy Drive.

Block walls along a greenbelt were vandalized with graffiti on April 9 or 10 in the first block of McAfee Court.

Two handguns were stolen in the 1800 block of Potrero Road between Jan. 1, 2006 and March 28. The incident was only recently reported.

In the 900 block of Kendale Lane the night of April 17, a vehicle was broken into and burglarized.

An elevator in the 100 block of Jensen Court was vandalized ($600 damage) on April 16 or 17.

A laptop computer and printer were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on April 16 or 17 in the 900 block of Woodlawn Drive.

A vehicle window was damaged and $700 in loot was stolen in the 3100 block of Willow Haven Court on April 15 or 16.

In the 3100 block of Casino Drive, a vehicle was burglarized between 4 and 6:30 a.m. April 16.

A vehicle window was smashed and a burglary occurred in the 200 block of Red Oak Lane the night of April 18.

A home in the 800 block of Calle Laredo in unincorporated T.O. was burglarized and targeted by arson between 7 p.m. April 12 and 3 a.m. April 13. Two males, one from T.O., 21, and the other from Newbury Park, 18, were arrested in conjunction with the incidents at 2:45 p.m. April 17. They confessed that they had started the fire to hide evidence, such as fingerprints. Damage to the home was estimated at more than $1 million. Authorities acted quickly on information from the public when they learned that one of the men had bragged about details of the crime.

Something was stolen from a golf course in the 200 block of S. Moorpark Road between 2:15 and 2:35 p.m. April 12.

For public intoxication, a male, 52, was arrested and charged at 8:20 p.m. April 19 in the 200 block of S. Moorpark Road.

A male, 20, had no driver's license but allegedly possessed marijuana and prescription medicines when he was stopped at 7:02 p.m. April 19 at Erbes Road and Avenida de Las Flores. He also had a warrant for his arrest.

Cited and released for shoplifting at Macy's was a female, 50, at 2:53 p.m. April 19.

A male, 57, was arrested at 2:20 p.m. April 19 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road and charged with possession of stolen property.

A male, 40, was arrested on a charge of vandalism at 9 p.m. April 18 in the 1700 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A female, 35, was arrested and charged with theft in the first block of E. Hillcrest Drive at 12:32 p.m. April 18.

A male, 29, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving at Calle Margarita and Jazmin at 8:41 p.m. April 14.

At 1:30 p.m. April 13 someone vandalized interior walls of a dwelling in the 3900 block of San Marcos Court. He was arrested at the Janss Road park-and-ride lot.

For possession of brass knuckles and a baton, a male, 21, was arrested and charged in The Oaks parking lot at 2:45 p.m. April 17.

A condo in the 2400 block of Pleasant Way was burglarized between Feb. 15 and April 1. The incident was only recently reported.

A vehicle and shed were vandalized between April 8 and 16 in the 3200 block of Los Robles Street.

The loss was $200 after a vehicle was burglarized in the 3200 block of Covecreek Court the night of April 15.

In the 3100 block of Montagne Way, a vehicle was broken into and items valued at $300 were stolen the night of April 15.

Between April 1 and 14 in the 2700 block of Shields Court, a bicycle was stolen from a garage.

Gang graffiti was applied to walls in the vicinity of Montgomery Road and Montgomery Court near Janss Road on April 14 or 15.

At 8:15 a.m. April 15, gang graffiti was spray painted in the 200 block of Houston Drive.

A wall in the 900 block of Montgomery was vandalized with graffiti the night of April 13.

Shortly after noon on April 14, a gang graffiti incident was reported in the 3300 block of Camino Calandria.

A vehicle in the 2800 block of E. Sierra Drive was burglarized on April 13 or 14. The loss was $250.

Gang graffiti was spray painted at 10:30 a.m. April 14 in the 800 block of E. Janss Road.

A briefcase was stolen ($200 loss) from a vehicle in the 2300 block of Rutland Street between 1 and 3:15 a.m. April 14.

Someone was arrested after allegedly stealing items from a store at The Oaks mall on April 13.

Money was stolen from a female, 44, during daytime on April 13 at the Oakbrook Shopping Center.

A vehicle break-in occurred in the 2400 block of Willow Lane between 6:55 and 8:30 p.m. April 12.

On April 11 or 12, a vehicle was burglarized in the 200 block of Almon Street.

Vandal(s) spray painted a truck and slashed a tire on April 11 or 12 in the 2000 block of Meadowbrook Court.

Two tires were punctured and a windshield was smashed in the 200 block of Galsworthy Street the night of April 11.

A Molotov cocktail was ignited in a church parking lot between 3 and 4:12 a.m. April 12 in the first block of Avenida de Los Arboles.

A petty theft occurred on April 11 in the 1700 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A mailbox was damaged and an SUV was egged the night of April 10 in the 2700 block of Parkview Drive.

A shoplifter visited a convenience store between 12:12 and 12:14 a.m. April 11 in the first block of E. Wilbur Road.

A backpack and school supplies were stolen from an unlocked vehicle the night of April 10 in the 1600 block of York Place.

A laptop computer was stolen from an unlocked apartment during daytime on April 10 in the first block of McAfee Court.

At Hodencamp and Hillcrest Drive at 1:37 a.m. April 16, a male, 24, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

At Mountclef Boulevard and Avenida de Los Arboles, a male, 21, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 1:05 a.m. April 15.

A male, 27, was arrested on DUI charges at Warwick Avenue and Wilbur Road at 11:49 p.m. April 14.

A male, 58, at 12:02 p.m. April 13 was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs at Conejo Boulevard and Hillcrest Drive.

At 11:59 p.m. April 9, a male, 19, was arrested on the 23 Freeway at T.O. Boulevard on suspicion of drunk driving.

Valuables worth more than $400 were stolen from a home in the 2600 block of Whitechapel Place during daytime on April 19.

A shoplifter stole merchandise from a retailer the afternoon of April 19 in the 500 block of E. Hillcrest Drive.

Somebody broke into a home and stole something in the 800 block of E. Hillcrest Drive between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 19.

A digital camera was stolen from a store at The Oaks between April 9 and 16.

The damage was $700 after cinder blocks were hurled at windows at 7 p.m. April 18 in the 1700 block of N. Moorpark Road.

An iPod and a laptop computer were stolen from an unlocked vehicle the night of April 17 in the 4600 block of Rayburn Street.

Someone rode a cab from the first block of W. Thousand Oaks Boulevard to North Hollywood and didn't pay the $98 cab fare the afternoon of April 18.

A home was broken into and burglarized in the first block of Mayflower the afternoon of April 18.

After he was stopped for speeding at 1:47 a.m. on the 101 Freeway at Lindero Canyon Road, a male, 44, failed a sobriety test.

Somebody tried to illegally acquire prescription medicine between April 2 and 16 in the 1200 block of La Venta Drive.

The loss was $400 after a business was burglarized in the 700 block of Lakefield Road between 3:47 and 4:08 a.m. April 15.

In the 2600 block of Townsgate Road, an office window was smashed and a computer was stolen the night of April 12.

Four mailboxes were vandalized in the 5400 block of Westview Court between 2 and 2:30 a.m. April 12.

At 12:54 a.m. April 14 at Westlake Boulevard and the 101 Freeway, a male, 29, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
