Financial planning for cancer patients will be discussed

Wellness Community Valley/ Ventura is offering a free financial management seminar for people living with cancer from 7 to 9 p.m. Thurs., May 17 at the Wellness Community Valley/ Ventura, 530 Hampshire Road in the Westlake Village portion of Thousand Oaks.

Experts will address financial concerns stemming from a loss of income or health insurance coverage, and when one is physically too ill to work. Cancer patients and family members are encouraged to attend.

The seminar will be presented by experts in law, finance and social services who will provide strategies and resources to help cancer patients and their families cope with a variety of financial problems.

Speakers will include an associate from the Cancer Legal Resource Center at Loyola University and Jim Warren, a financial and business consultant and Wellness Community participant. To RSVP, call (805) 379-4777.
