STEP IT UP- - William Carter, a Thousand Oaks environmental lawyer, explains to a packed house the interconnection between global warming, environmental legislation, air pollution regulations and human life during "Step It Up," a nationwide series of events revolving around climate change. Supporters are urging Congress to cut carbon emissions 80 percent by 2050. The event took place recently at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library.
