Varied entertainment on tap at CVD

Everlife, one of Radio Disney's top bands (everlifeonline.com), will perform at 6:30 p.m. Wed., May 2 in the CVD Arena. Admission is free for those who pay to get inside the CVD gates.

ConejoX Invitational, a freestyle motocross competition, will be held at 7 p.m. Thurs., May 3 in the CVD Arena. It will feature riders from the XGames and Dew Tour, including rising star Kyle Loza, seen on Fuel TV and the Stunt Jockies. Admission to ConejoX is $15 pre-sale plus the $7 fair admission or $22 at the gate the night of the show.

The Superdogs is a show with canine performances. The dogs will do tricks in six free shows (after the price to get into the CVD site) on Sat. and Sun., May 5 and May 6 in the CVD Arena. The show is sponsored by PetSmart.

Foghat, led by founding member and drummer Roger Earl, headlines CVD. The historic platinum-selling blues rockin' band will give their free concert at 7 p.m. Fri., May 4 in the CVD Arena.

Tiny Tots will be held 12:30 p.m. Sat., May 5 on the Jest In Time children's stage in the Kidz Korner at Conejo Valley Days. Boys and girls are invited to wear their favorite western, country, prairie, cowboy, cowgirl or Indian outfit during the event. Children participate in three age divisions: 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6. Entry is free.

The 51st annual CVD Parade will begin at 9 a.m. Sat., May 5 on Thousand Oaks Boulevard between Duesenberg Drive and The Lakes. A band contest will take place immediately following the parade in the grassy area in front of the Civic Arts center.

This is also the first time free parking for paradegoers is available at the Civic Arts Plaza.

Special Kids Day is an invitationonly event for kids with disabilities. It will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fri., May 4.
