Scholarships offered to students pursuing careers in construction

Students pursuing a career in construction are encouraged to apply for scholarships which will be awarded by Ventura County Contractors Association. Deadline to apply is Mon., April 30.

More than $10,000 in academic scholarships will be awarded. Applicants must be or have been enrolled in a TriCounty area high school, college or accredited constructionrelated trade school or apprentice-training program in 2006.

Applications are available at the association office, 1830 Lockwood St., Ste. 110, Oxnard.

Winners will be announced and recognized at an awards dinner Wed., May 23.
