CVD offers chili samples

The Conejo Valley Days 32nd annual Chili Cook-off, sponsored by Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks, will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sun., April 29 at Conejo Creek Park in Thousand Oaks, east of the 23 Freeway at the Janss Road exit.

Attendees can sample more than 50 different types of chili in an atmosphere of music, entertainment and an expanded children's play area.

The chili selected as the "best red chili" by a panel of judges from the International Chili Society will advance to the 2007 World Championships.

Admission is $6; children 12 and under are admitted free.
