CVD kickoff picnic to feature fancy cars, live entertainment, drawing for Lexus

The Conejo Valley Days Kickoff Picnic and Car Show will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., April 21 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

The picnic is sponsored by the Conejo Valley Rotary Club and will feature food and live entertainment.

Suggested donation for admission to the car show is $5. Classic and specialty cars will be on display, and awards will be given.

The winner of a 2007 Lexus IS250 will be announced at the picnic. Tickets for the car giveaway cost $100 and are on sale from the Conejo Valley Rotary Club and will also be sold at the picnic.

Proceeds from the drawing will benefit the Westminster Free Clinic in Westlake Village, which provides medical care for the uninsured homeless and working poor in the community.
