Rec and park district to host open house

Conejo Recreation and Park District will host a free open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sun., April 22 at the Thousand Oaks Community Park, 2525 N. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

Participants will have the opportunity to take part in activities and demonstrations, and learn about district programs such as day camps, sports, teen classes and senior recreation.

Swimming placement tests and information about the summer aquatic program and employment opportunities will be offered.

There will be live entertainment featuring the Blues Boys, the Ohmies and the Buster Balloon Show.
