Monarchs boys' gymnastics team earns victory
The boy's team from Monarchs Gymnastics competed in the 16th annual Peter Vidmar Men's Gymnastics Invitational in March. A total of 479 gymnasts from 46 clubs in Canada, Mexico and the U.S. competed.
Level 4 scoring is a high of green card, followed by purple, yellow and white.
First-time competitor Tyler Barron, 7, of Calabasas earned purple cards on rings and parallel bars.
Lukas Epperson, 6, of Agoura Hills won purple cards on pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and high bar.
Chase Tachau, 7, of Woodland Hills scored purple cards on floor, rings and vault.
John Ferraro, 7, from Newbury Park won green cards on rings and vault, and also purple cards on floor, pommel horse, parallel bars and high bar.
Josiah Lerman, 8, of Moorpark competed for the first time and was awarded a green card on vault and purple cards on floor, rings, parallel bars and high bar.
Dawson Medlock, 7, of Moorpark scored a green card on rings and purples card on floor, pommel horse, vault and parallel bars.
Matteo Jackson, 7, of Moorpark was awarded purple cards on rings, vault and parallel bars.
Monarchs National Gymnastics Training Center has locations at 5331 Derry Ave., Ste. H-C, in Agoura Hills and 3599 Old Conejo Road in Newbury Park.
