Children at Weathersfield Elementary learn their manners

TEA PARTY- Weathersfield Elementary School student Chris Portillo, 8, above, prepares a cup of tea at a formal tea event with classmates, parents and teachers last Thursday. More third-graders (upper right), James Peterson, 8, Hannah Bowman, 8, and Alan Goddard, 9, also participated. The students, all of Thousand Oaks, read "The Velveteen Rabbit" in class and studied the origins of tea, tea etiquette, polite conversation and English tea traditions before they demonstrated what they had learned.
