Post-parade roundup at The Lakes

A "Post-Parade Roundup," featuring middle school and high school jazz bands, drum lines and color guards, will take place after the CVD parade on Sat., May 5.

The concerts, beginning at 11 a.m., will be at The Lakes shopping center and the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza's Mary and Richard Carpenter Park.

The parade and roundup are presented by the Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks. The official parade sponsor is Aviara Real Estate.

Restaurants at The Lakes will offer Conejo Valley Days dining specials during the roundup.

The parade, which runs from Duesenberg Road to The Lakes, begins at 9 a.m. and will include bands, floats, equestrian units and antique and classic automobiles. Parade participants are businesses, schools, residents and service and youth clubs.

Free parking will be available at the Civic Arts Plaza from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the parade and roundup, courtesy of the city of Thousand Oaks.

The parade is part of Conejo Valley Days, which takes place May 2 through 6 at Conejo Creek Park South off the 23 Freeway at the Janss Road exit.
