Dunn was the only sympathetic board member

In the March 22 article about Wildwood Elementary School's principal not having her contract renewed, there was much evidence of upset parents protesting the decision and asking that their concerns be heard.

Whether or not the board's actions were justified remains to be seen, but apparently the only board member who seemed to be really listening to the parents was Mike Dunn, who asked that the item be removed from the consent agenda and looked at further, but the other board members declined.

Mike Dunn has maintained that he seeks to respect the rights of parents, and this is a commendable example. Francesca Canzano Thousand Oaks
