Former employee arrested after robbery

A man walked into the offices of US Beef, a grocery delivery service at 2955 E. Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks, at 12:29 p.m. Mon., April 2, displayed a firearm and demanded cash.

The robbery was foiled when one of the employees began to scream, and a small dog also distracted the intruder, who fled.

An employee recognized the wouldbe robber as Marcus Wilson, 24, a former employee. Deputies located him later at a grocery store at the corner of Alamo Street and Tapo Canyon Road in Simi Valley, where he was arrested. Wilson was booked at East Valley Station on suspicion of attempted robbery and on an outstanding warrant. Bail was set at $110,000.
