Conejo Valley Committee collecting funds for fireworks

The Conejo Valley Fireworks Committee is raising funds for the 2007 Fireworks Spectacular on Wed., July 4 in Thousand Oaks.

According to event organizers, "This year's show promises to be bigger and better than ever due to strong community support for this annual event."

The committee is asking for donations from individuals, organizations and local businesses, and all contributions will be accepted.

Donations may be sent to Conejo Recreation and Park District Fireworks Fund, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360. For more information, call Steve Wiley at (805) 495-6471.

The show, sponsored by the Conejo Recreation and Park District and the city of Thousand Oaks, attracts between 30,000 and 40,000 viewers each year and includes a simulcast on KCLU 88.3 FM radio.
