Conejo pupils jog 'around the world'

Conejo Elementary School will hold its second annual jogathon from 8:45 to 11:30 am. today. The theme is "Around the World."

There will be music, a pair of 30-foot balloon arches and a map of the world covering the baseball backstop. Each classroom will represent a different country. Labeled starting positions representing the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian and Arctic oceans will show each "country" where to start running their laps "Around the World."

Supporters of Conejo Open Classroom Endeavors, the booster club for the Conejo Open Classroom Program, organized the event. Proceeds will go to the Conejo Elementary Parent Faculty Association.

The Open Classroom Program is on the campus of Conejo Elementary School. It's a districtwide school choice program for students in grades K to 6.
