Genealogy meeting Saturday

The Ventura County Genealogical Society Inc. will hold i t s regular monthly meeting at 1 p.m. Sat., March 17 at the Ventura LDS Fami l y History Center, 3501 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.

Guests are welcome to the free meetings.

T. Maureen Schoenky will discuss "etymologies of Germanic names and off-the-wall places to look for your Germanic ancestors."

Schoenky became interested in Germanic genealogy about 20 years ago and has joined many organizations to further her research.

There will be workshops on reading Old German, conducted by Marcie Malony.

A beginning research computer lab will be presented by Brenda Ball.
