CVD offers fundraising opportunity to schools
Conejo Valley Days (CVD) is offering elementary and middle school PTAs and two booster clubs from each local high school the opportunity to raise money by preselling entry passes/unlimited ride wristbands to the fiveday festival set for May 2 through 6 at Conejo Creek Park South in Thousand Oaks.
"This is the first time Conejo Valley Days has presold entry or ride tickets," said Diana Javurek, CVD off-site chairperson. "We want to give schools a fun and different way to raise money. A portion of each ticket sold will go to PTAs or booster clubs. Those who purchase these tickets will not only help their schools, but will receive a discount from the gate price."
The fundraising tickets cost $27 per person. The ticket price includes the entry fee (normally costing from $5 to $7, depending on age) and an unlimited ride bracelet for Wednesday, Thursday or Friday night.
Ticket holders also have the option of attending on Saturday or Sunday. They may use the presale ticket for entry and receive a sheet of 36 ride tickets at a 40 percent discount off the regular price. "Gate prices for only the unlimited rides wristbands are $25 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights, $35 on Saturday and $30 on Sunday, so presale entry/ride tickets offer a substantial savings," said Javurek.
This year, Conejo Valley Days will feature 10 new rides, a RadioDisney concert, ConejoX Motocross International, Doggie Olympics, battle of the bands competition, an arcade, teen nights, equestrian events and a concert from rockers Foghat.
