CVD Chili Cook-off is looking for a few good chefs

Conejo Valley Days' 32nd annual Chili Cookoff, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks, is accepting chili cook and vendor applications. The cook-off will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sun., April 29 at Conejo Creek Park in Thousand Oaks.

More than 50 contestants will participate. The chili selected as the "best chili" by a panel of judges from the International Chili Society will advance to the 2007 World Championships.

For information about participating, call Tammie Helmuth, (805) 4973800 or e-mail thelmuth@conejoawards.com. Vendors interested in displaying products and selling food items during the cookoff should also contact Helmuth.

The cookoff will include music, food, entertainment and a children's play area. The cost is $6, children 12 and under are free.
