Takes sharp aim at 'bleeding heart liberal'

Responding to Douglas Crocket's letter published Feb. 15 regarding the death of a brave American Marine, Lance Cpl. Anthony C. Melia, this Thousand Oaks "numbskull" is responding.

Shame on you, Douglas Crocket, for using this brave Marine's death as a platform to spew your pathetic, unintelligent bleeding heart, liberal views of the war in Iraq and bash President Bush.

The other letters stayed on point, showed class, respect and genuine appreciation for a brave soldier's ultimate sacrifice.

It's clear you just don't get it, and most likely were classified "unfit to serve" by the military.

It's also safe to assume you have no idea how it feels to be a soldier trying to stay alive and then hear comments like yours. Talk about undermining our troops. You have never been to Iraq, never lived in the nation's Capitol, never visited Arlington National Cemetery, are obviously uneducated and base your opinion on what you see and hear in the liberal media.

It wouldn't be a surprise to learn John Kerry, John Muir, Michael Moore, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Jane Fonda, Sean Penn, Barbra Streisand and the Dixie Chicks are your heroes.

You have no real understanding of the facts. The only thing that's "flawed" is the crap that comes out of your mouth. Your comments undermine what our brave troops are trying to do.

What you need is a good dose of Ronald Reagan, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh. Then maybe with some luck, you'll be able to open your mouth and make an informed opinion--doubtful, but one could hope.

Douglas, do us "numbskulls" a favor: Move to Baghdad and run your mouth there. Maybe someone will listen. But be careful who you talk to. Kurds like to behead Saddam loyalists.
