Chabad hosts Purim Iuau

Chabad of the Conejo is offering a Hawaiian-style luau with Hawaiian cuisine, tropical drinks and entertainment to the Jewish community on Purim from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sun., March 4 at a location in Agoura Hills.

Participants are asked to come in Purim or modest Hawaiian attire. Performers include Wendy's Wildlife parrot show, a poi ball dancer and a fire-and-knife demonstration. There will also be lei making, hair braiding and other activities for children.

Megillah readings will take place at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Aloha sponsors are encouraged for a donation of $54

Chabad will also offer Purim services with the reading of the Megillah followed by light refreshments at 7 p.m. Sat., March 3 and 8 a.m. Sun., March 4 at all local Chabad centers. There is no charge.
