The Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library will present free programs in March. The library is at 1401 E. Janss Road and the website is www.toaks.org/library. For more information on any of the programs, call (805) 449-2660.

Online shopping will be the theme at 10 a.m. Thurs., March 8. Participants will learn how to safely shop on the Internet. The program will be held in the Technology Training Room. Topics discussed will be security issues, safety tips, comparative shopping, finding bargains, participating in auctions, using eBay, and other information related to online commerce. Registration is required.

Library orientations will take place from 10:15 to 11 a.m. Fri., March 9 and Wed., March 14. Reference librarians will lead an informative tour of the library followed by a demonstration of the library's website and online catalog. No registration is required. Meet at the sculpture inside the main entrance.

A demonstration of searching tips and strategies called "How Do I Find It on the Web?" will be presented from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Tues., March 13. The intermediate-level class will cover search engines, subject guides and how to research specific topics related to health, travel and government information. Registration is required.
