Longtime CVUSD administrator Simpson will retire in July

      After nearly 30 years serving the Conejo Valley Unified School District, Richard Simpson has announced he will retire this summer. After time spent as assistant superintendent and acting superintendent, Simpson has been deputy superintendent since 1996. His last day will be July 2.

      For the 10th year in a row, Redwood Middle School placed first in the statewide Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl academic competition. Both the seventh- and eighth-grade teams placed first in their categories. Each team scored more than 100 points more than their nearest rival.
