Researcher addresses genetic link to autism

Maricela Alarcón, from the UCLA Department of Neurology, will present a free lecture that discusses the genetic link to autism from 6 to 9 p.m. Mon., March 12 at Newbury Park High School auditorium, 456 N. Reino Road.

The lecture is sponsored by NARSAD: The Mental Health Research Association and BMOD Fitness Corp.

The event coincides with Brain Awareness Week, an international effort to advance public awareness about the progress and benefits of brain research.
