Local man compiles book on 'A World Without Jews'

A Thousand Oaks man has compiled a book called "A World Without Jews." Leonard Zerlin was inspired to write the book because of comments by Mahmoud Ahmedinejad, the leader of Iran.

Ahmedinejad claims that the Holocaust never happened and vows to wipe Israel off the map. Zerlin poses a rhetorical question to Ahmedinejad: "What has your people done for 3,000 years?"

The book states that without Jews, there would be "No Jesus, no Moses, no Dr. Salk, no Einstein, no Dr. Freud, no Houdini, no prophets, no commandments, no Bible."

Zerlin, 83, lives in Thousand Oaks. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and is a retired aerospace engineer.

Most of the 250 copies he had printed will be donated to temples and synagogues. Books are also for sale from the author for $25 each.

For information, call Zerlin at (805) 492-2272.
